Recently, the game “Brawl Stars,” created by the company Supercell, has spiked in popularity amongst Angeline Academy students after word spread about how good the game is.
Over the years, “Brawls Stars” has had many updates and collaborations, which is one of the main reasons people, such as seventh-grade student Evan Mapes, play the game.
“The updates keep adding interesting things to the game and the collabs are cool,” Mapes said.
About 65 thousand people play “Brawl Stars” daily around the world. Eighth-grade student Destin Martin, one of those 65 thousand, is a social gamer.
“It is a good source of entertainment and it is fun to play with friends,” Martin said.
“Brawl Stars” was released to the public in Dec. 2018 and has only grown in popularity. Many people, such as seventh-grade student Ashrit Mukkamala, found out about the game through friends.
“I mean a lot of YouTubers started playing it and also friends are telling each other that they should try the game,” Mukkamala said.
One of the main reasons why people play with friends is because it makes the experience of the game much more enjoyable. Eighth-grade student Ariyah Hayes also likes to play with friends in his free time.
“It makes the gaming experience a lot more fun and I think that just goes for every game,” Hayes said.
There have been many things “Brawl Stars” has been critiqued on since the start of the game, even with its popularity. Mr. Christopher Didik, an Angeline science teacher, who plays “Brawl Stars” is one of these people who has suggestions for the game.
“They need to focus on a balanced game system over just adding new content and characters to make you want to pay extra money,” Didik explained.
Even with its downsides, “Brawl Stars” remains the most liked game amongst Angeline students based on how many are playing the game.
